As a musician for over 25 years, I have combined my love of music and instruments with my love of art and craftsmanship as a professional luthier. I attended the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in 2003, earning an ACCSCT Luthier Certification. I then spent the next three years doing repair and guitar assembly at Ed Roman Guitars in Las Vegas, where I honed my craft and built guitars for many famous players. In 2006, I moved back home to Long Island and opened Mayer Guitars to build fine affordable custom instruments including electric, acoustic and bass guitars as well as ukuleles. I have also been in demand for my repair work, specializing in fretwork, structural repair, and electronics. I am available by appointment, located in Hauppauge, NY.
